New Bakers in the Making

The local first school recently had a food week to celebrate harvest festival, Derek Woods (managing director of Woods Bakery Ltd) agreed to help the year 3 and 4 children make some bread. Over 2 mornings nearly 80 pupils had hands on experience of making products from Knots, plaits and rolls to the more adventurous snakes, aliens and even a dragon's eye. The children had a fantastic time and got to take their creations home for tea. There are some pictures of the bread fest on the schools website.
